Got there a little after 8 am at the Sarindino ramp below the old Hales Bar Dam. Water temp was 42 /43 degrees just about everywhere. I don't understand some of the water temps thet are being posting from the Chick all the way to G'ville? I haven't seen any water warmer that 44 anywhere in weeks!? We hit the old milfoil beds in 3 / 6 fow. Dad missed one right off the bat on a rattle trap. Then he gets a hook up, a 14 in. potty. I'm chunk'in a spinnerbait, hauling water! Dad gets another one, this time a keeper! I'm still hauling water! Dad gets another, about a five lbs. right to the boat and pulls off! Ok, now the spinnerbait is on the bench! No account, no fish catching, stupid spinnerbait! I'm throwing a rattle trap! 45 min's. later we both are hauling water. I switch to a chatter bait. In a few, I get a bump, but no fish! Back to the trap! An hour goes by, no bites! I switch to a jerk bait. After a while I get that little tick! A fat 14 in. none keeper! And we fish! And we fish some more! Finally, that jerk just gets a little mushy. After a few I did that one handed, slide him into the next deal! 6 lb. 6 oz.! If she had a belly on her {like me} she would have been 8 lbs.! But a good healthy fish. Took a couple of pics and turned her loose. That was it! We fished until about 2 pm and give it up just as the wind started picking up.
