I got out this morning for about an hour as Mom and Dad are in town and wanted to eat fish tonight for dinner. I got out about 10 am and there was a boat on the spot that I wanted to fish in the creek. The water had muddied up with the recent rains but the water was 50-51 degrees. I decided to run to Harrison bay and see if it had any active fish. I fished there for a short while and the water was stained and it was windy which made it hard to fish the specific spot that I wanted to fish. I ran back to the creek and fished an area close to the spot that still had the boat on it and soon the boat left. I caught one small keeper bass but no crappie there. I went back home and there I had a couple of crappie at the dock that I had caught a few days before. I got out again at a little after 5 pm and caught 3 keeper crappie in the creek and we ate them for dinner tonight. Yum! All fish, bass, and crappie were caught on 1/32oz jigs with panfish assassins. The fish tonight were caught at about an 8 count with no twitching or shaking, just 2-3 second pauses between slow cranks. The fish seemed very unaggressive.
