[font "Calibri"]The Whiskey Joe’s Mammoth Slam Classic will fish for Trout & Redfish and is a photo release tournament. Fish data is shared with various state and local marine wildlife organizations for the purpose of marine research. There are numerous, generous sponsors that will be making awards including Freedom Hawk Kayaks, Albright Fishing Products, Ocean Waves Sunglasses, Aqua Designs, High Roller Custom Wooden Lures, Kayak Kanopy, Kayak Fishing Magazine, Kayak Angler Magazine, Florida Fly Fishing Magazine and Windham Designs. In addition, contestants earn points to qualify for the Invitational National Championship tournament and a shot at the grand prize from Freedom Hawk Kayaks, the new Freedom 12 kayak. [/font]
[font "Calibri"]There are two fishing divisions in the ClassicS, Fly Fishing and Light Tackle. Contestants in the Whiskey Joe’s Mammoth Slam Classic may fish where they like. There is a boat ramp on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, which will put fishermen onto a mangrove-lined bay where good fishing is reported. Other close by areas that are possible include the Double Branch Creek, Philippe Park and the Alafia River which are all close by, as well as right from the beach at Whiskey Joe’s. [/font]
