Suckers...
#1
I would like to know the best way to catch some suckers in the jordan for bait. I used the search but could not find specific ways. Im guessing on the bottom but worms? And how do you keep the carp off? Terminal tackle? Also what do I look for in the river as far as habitat? Thanx in advance...

[cool][#0000ff]Those little fish in your "secret" pond are NOT suckers. They are chubs. Here is a pic from that pond.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Don't know how long it has been since you were out there but things changed. Somebody dumped in a lot of herbicide and killed off all of the aquatic vegetation. Then the cormorants and pelicans swooped in and ate all of the chubs over 3" long. At the end of last year you couldn't catch any big ones at all. They are starting to return but not a good place for minnows yet.[/#0000ff]

I have not actually tried yet. I was going to try this weekend and get some bait for summer catfishing. I am not too picky about the location and am willing to go where they will be most abundant. I work right next to the a little creek that runs through Murray park. I was wondering if that little creek has any? Any help would be great...
