Currant Creek report 7/20
#1
Went to Currant Creek for my first time on Sunday, was curious about it and spent the day there. Got there around 10am and didn't catch anything except for some solar rays. So I took a lunch break and then moved to another area. I am glad I moved to this area because the fishing was excellent! From about 2:00 until 6:00 I caught around 30+ trout(browns and cutts), the fishing was so hot I lost count. I used only 2 different flies; a hopper and a green drake. Caught everything on those 2 flies. I was "sight" fishing with the hopper and there is nothing like ripping a hopper through the air and smacking it to the surface behind a fish causing them to whirl around and attack the hopper like it was a Krispy Kreme doughnut.

Then it started to rain, and they just didn't go for the hopper, so I switched to a green drake and that kept them coming, especially in above and below all the beaver dams, until it was time to head home.

I'm glad I was able to finally fish Currant Creek and can positively say I will be back there again and again tossing the hoppers.

good day, barbless

That's the second person I have heard this week say that they were catching numbers of Browns at Current Creek. I've never fished it, but I might just have to make a trip soon! I'm only an hour away. Thanks for the report.
