I would love to go up there and fish again, but this year has been really slow for me. The one fish I caught was a 10 inch Perch, that was the only one that got caught with 50 or so kids with me up there. We were all on a field trip, and the fishing was slow. That was in February, and since then I've fished it a couple of times, but nothing. Is it just me, or have the Muskie eaten out most of the Perch, Crappie, and Blue Gill. Just 7 years ago I was up there, and I couldn't keep the Crappie off my line. Since then, it has definetly went down the drain.

I know what you mean, I have fished it a few times this year and didn't get one perch or crappie. Did get plenty of carp and mud cats. Welcome to the site, looking forward to more posts.

As for the musky eating all the fish no. back in 1988 the dwr put musky into pineview to help with the stunted perch and crappie back then the size of perch was only 6" and about the same for the crappie. yes musky eat other fish but now that the have been in there the size of the fish are biger with perch going in the 10" to 12" or more size. yes there aren't as many but they are bigger but there is still 1000's of them in the lake with the water going up and down so much it takes time to find were they are at.
also to let you know the dwr keep a look and track of how many musky are in there they only try to have so many of them in there and it really isn't than many if you get right down to it if we were back in the midwest this lake wouldn't be know for a musky lake at all because of how few there are.
what you need is to hook into a musky then you views will change I think. let me know if you want to find out how to fish for them. and glad to have you in here with us.
