Have I got a fishing report for you today. All it takes in about 2 days in a row with the sun shining brightly and the fish just seem to come out of the doldrums. How do they do that?

Tiffany came up for a visit for several days and called me this AM and asked if I would come over to my daughter's house and pick her up so that she could spend the day with me. Of course, I did. What better way to entertain a young 23 year old that wants to learn how to fish. I showed her one of my never fail techniques. But, that is for page 2.

My boat has not been in the water in almost a month. I reckon that I just dry-docked her and me as well. So it was good to get back out on the water. But the one thing that I forgot, was to put my fishing rods back into the boat. We saw fish suspended about 3 feet deep in most places so this is the only time that this works. Fish have to be shallow for it to work.

I forgot the most important part. The how to portion of the experience. Since I didn't take my crappie rods with me, Tiffy and I just motored over to Wolftever just about where Savannah and Wolftever merge to become one big creek. I got about 40 yards off the good dock that everyone in Hamilton and half of Georgia know about, opened the lid on my livewell, tapped on the side of my boat a couple of times and yelled "Get in if you want a boat ride". Only had 5 takers but they were all keepers. emoTongue emoPoke emoBigSmile emoGeezer

I know that this silly report might make some people on here really mad at me, but hey guys, get a life. Actually what really happened was I was returning a coffee cup that Polo had loaned me when Hal and I fished in there about 1 month ago. I told Mark then that the next time that I had my boat out, I would run by. He said just toss in into my boat. So, I thought, why not see if he has any fish in that bucket that he is always talking about. He really had more than these, but I didn't want him to think that I would just come by and steal all his hard earned fish. emoPoke emoTongue emoBigSmile

Third version, Mark was on his dock when we got there and after a great conversation with him, he asked me if I had any crappie for Tiffany and I said no. I had given all my crappie away over the Christmas holidays and haven't had the desire to get back out there and fish any. But, that is about to change. I'm putting Dixie Boy on notice right now. You are coming down here next Friday and fishing with Polo and me and the game is on.

Also, guys, I have been battling a kidney infection for the past several days and although I was only on the water about 1 hr and 15 minutes, I was bushed when I got back home. A few more days to recuperate is on the calendar. The last 2 paragraphs are as accurate as I can possible tell this story. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
