I am down but not out. My boat is still not repaired but my trolling motor is working fine. Today I finished up at 2:30 and went home. I needed a fix bad so I connected the boat and got to the lake at 3:15. I just had the trolling motor but sure beats nothing. To my surprise I started on a point and within five cast had a hit and up came a very nice bass that weighed 3 lbs and 13 ozes on a deep crank bait. I hit a couple more places and moved to a hump. Top of the hump was 13 feet and I was bouncing the crank off the hump and one nailed it, 3 lbs and 1 oz. Had one other hit on the crank and missed it. I shifted to a shakey head and missed one off some rocks. A little later had a hard hit and set the hook. BIG fish, got it turned and I felt it shake it's head, came off. emoBang That was it on the shakey. Changed to a big blade and started slow rolling it, did I mention I was S...L...O...W rolling it. That was the ticket. They did not hit it hard but it would just load up. Felt the weight and set the hook. I got a 2 lb/ 6 ozer, a 2/7, then a 2/9 and finally a 2/10. emoThumbsup I misssed one other on the blade. Not bad for a guy without a big motor in 2 hours and 40 minutes. I left at 5:55. emoTongue This may be a testimony to the thought that I may go too fast when I have the big motor. Had to slow down since I could not really go anywhere far. That is a best five sack of 14 lbs and 8 ozes. Water temp was 44 to 46 depending on where I was.

Wish me and colby could be there in the morning. You guys on the CBA tournament have fun and catch a big one for us. emoToast Jmax
