Got out on the water this afternoon. Water is very, very low and it was super windy. Started off in creek mouths for bass, nothing. Water temp was around 43 degrees. As I was heading back in, I noticed some gulls hitting the water so I slowed down to scan the area. On my first pass I saw a huge school of fish. After running a jig around the area of the school I thought it may have been crappie. So I broke out the crappie rods and on the first cast ..bang..I caught one. This is my first trip out with the SI unit that I have spotted a school of fish then proceeded to catch them...SUPER COOL!! Caught around 25 or so crappie with 6 Keepers. I missed as many as I caught due to high winds. From what I have been seeing the crappie area moving into the creeks right now. All fish where caught in 10 to 15 ft of water. I am putting some pics from my Humminbird of the school.
