Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Crappie fishing is slow on the big lakes. The fish seem scattered and lazy. They are getting ready for the big shallow water surge any day now, but it hasn't happened yet. Largemouth are good in shallow water on crankbaits and buzzbaits. The largemouth bite is best early and late in the day. Whitebass are slow. Bluegill are good around the docks and deeper banks. They are hitting crickets and nightcrawlers. Catfish are only fair. Smallmouth are improving along the deeper points in Kentucky Lake. They are taking jigs and small plastic worms.

TIP: Be careful out there. The ;lakes are at winter pool, which is five feet shallower than they were this summer.

BITS AND PIECES: If you want it, go for it. It probably won't come to you.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
