After having two terrible outtings in a row, I had to get back to the Gunny to get my line stretched. We started in the Mid Lake area tossing traps where we boated a couple good keepers up to 3lbs. We had several fish slap the trap and would come off after a few head shakes. We worked our way down river. After a while with out a bite I got slammed on a trap, I mean this thing put the turbo on and I Hadden thought I had Jona, but I had a 10lb channel cat in the side of the head. Thanks to a tip from a friend we switched over to Jerkbaits where we finished the day catching a few more good keepers. Before leaving we went back to our first area where we got a few more good 'uns and I lost the fish of the trip. All fish caught on traps came from areas with green grass in 4-6ft. The jerkbait fish came from grass and rock near deep water. Water temps started at 41 and finished at 47. If I ever retire I'm moving to scottsboro.
