3/5 - Haven't been fishing much for several weeks, as was dealing with a very bad back. However I have been getting some therapy and am feeling much better. I was determined to get out last Friday, so I called Drumking to see what was happening and where one might find some fish. He gave me a couple of ideas and off I went. I could only stay out a couple of hours and didn't get started until 11:30 so probably fished at the worst time of day. I caught 9 good keepers and a couple of shorts at the places Drumking suggested. It felt very good to to feel a pull on the line. The bite was subtle to say the least. 1/32 jig w/PA and tailight. About a 4-5 count over 18' of water.

I marked several large schools of crappie with the structure scan, but could not get them going. I think they were just not feeding with I tried them. Anyway it was good to get out for a bit. All fish returned to the lake.

3/8 - A day in the 60's and rain moving in the rest of the week, I just had to get out today. So did a lot of other people, Saw Nauticman and Hal out there. Did not see the Drumking, he probably was back in before I got going, lol. Tried a dock where I had caught a few earlier and found some very decent fish there. About a 5 count with some dead stick pauses and drops. Most fish hit on the drop. 1/32 Jig and PA w/lite. Water temp 51-52, it is finally warming up some. Ended the day with 23 Crappie of which 16 were keepers and the rest smalls. Again thanks to Drumking for all the good info on the fishing. All the guys posting on this forum are very generous with their help, a valuable resource and much appreciated. Hope to see more of you out there this year. Stop buy and say hey.

Regards, Labman
