Well, I had to try those spotted bass again at Parksville Lake this evening. Took my Hobie pedal kayak to see if I could cast a 12&#39; leader sitting in it. Bite was pretty slow for me, but I tried some places I hadn&#39;t been with Kevin. I know why he doesn&#39;t go there now.<br /><br />No bites after a couple hours, so I got out to stretch on a nice deep broad point, and shot these photos with my phone. Started throwing a suspending Husky Jerk 12 TN Shad from shore and caught two 12&quot; spots. Had about 2 hours of light left, so I headed for one of Kevin&#39;s favorite points. Finally connected with a FnF spotted bass - 13&quot; and then another about 12&quot;. Not a lot of action, but it sure was nice out there. Heard some great birds...winter wren, prothonatary warbler, pine warbler, red shouldered hawk.
