Sam is home from college on spring break and I am still doing taxes but I thought what the heck he deserves some fun and besides he made good grades and all. So after working some today we headed to the lake about 2pm which worked out great cause it quit raining emoRain No sunshine but at least no rain. We decided to put in at Chester Frost and all I have to say is be very careful at the ramp and going out to the main lake - the water around the ramp docks is 2 ft deep! emoEek After successfully launching and navigating out of there we hit the main lake with a fury and headed to Soddy Creek - the wind was blowing a pretty good chop and then we turned the corned at the Nuke plant and it went from frothy to glass in a heartbeat emoConfused Then at the entrance of SC there is a fog bank!!! emoConfused I was have expecting the black pearl and Capn Jack Black to appear!! LOL!! Anyhoo no luck at SC - too flat - too calm. So we ran through the fog back over the glassy main lake turned the corner at the Nuke plant and hit some wind and very light chop and thought why not! Glad we stopped. Nothing on the Nuke side but the opposite bank produced 15-16 nice fish. We caught spots, LM and I caught my first smallie of the year - only about a pound and a half. Sam caught some healthy spots and LM and I again smoked him and caught the most and the biggest LOL! emoGeezer My best two on the boga grip were 4.25 and 5.25 lbs both healthy LM. All fish caught on jerk baits which are a blast. The big one nailed it hard on the pause and about yanked the rod out of my hand! emoFish emoDance Stay safe out there in the low water and tight lines!!! Bill emoUSA
