SAM RAYBURN: Well the water temps were 53 at daylight today and warmed to 60's by the end of the day. The Bass are really moving up now with over 20 good bass a day being caught up to about 8 lbs. Bass are hitting senko type baits in black and blue, watermelons, green pumpkins, and junebugs rigged weightless. Also flipping around shallow brush with creature baits in watermelon red has been catching quality Bass. Now is the time to book your trip and get in on the next 8 weeks of the spawning season. Check . Lake Palestine: Water Temps mid 50's and up. the Bigger females are still good up to 6 lbs. hitting the Nichols spinnerbait in White/Chartruse Combos reeled slowly along grass edges. The Texas rigged Phatom stinko(A senko type bait), in Watermelon Red, worked around the open timber in the spawning grounds has been a killer on Bass lately.
