Well, it was great to spend a couple of days back on the Big G'. Fishing was slow at times yesterday. We must have boated 15 or so with the biggest about 4.5. I had one nice one pull off that I never turned in the grass. The rain gave each of us a good shower and the boat a bath. Today, after several storms, the bite turned on. We caught about 10 before the hale storm. One of which was 5.5 # and another strong 4 #. All but 5 today would have measured. Jeff hung a hawg in about 2' of water that he couldn't turn until she pulled off. She was probably 7+ and definately the biggest fish of the weekend. We must have boated 25 or more today. Best 5 around the 18# mark. Our fish were all caught on rattle baits and color didn't seem to matter until all of the storms and runoff. It really muddied the water and after that a bright red, almost orange color rattle bait seemed to dominate. Great weekend of fishing and had a great time with my buddies from W. Tenn. We caught fish in water temperatures from 50 F - 57 F in 1.5' - 6' of water the past two days. All fish were caught either in green grass or near brush. See pics of the bigger fish below.

Tight lines! emoAngler
