Dr Phillip Gawthrop had a couple of hours or so that he could fish this AM, so we went to the Riverpark in search of bass of any color and to see if any stripers had moved up. Flowrate was 18,000 cfs and although we didn't find any stripers in numbers, Dr Phil did catch one little one about 15" long. Only 2 spotted bass were caught, no largemouth, but the brown fish made for a successful fishing trip. Maybe 4 white bass showed up to give us a thrill.

We had to go with 1/4 oz shadhead jigs with 4" plastic trailers to catch the fish. We put 9 smallies in the boat and lost 2 more that pulled off before getting to the boat. You just never know what you are going to catch below any of these dams. Oh, it looks like I may have to give up my screen name of "drumking". I didn't catch any this morning and Dr Phil caught 2 rather large ones. One was a 30" tarp drum that we thought was going to swim downtown in the current. Phil had fun chasing him down. We saw Labman down there trying out the Riverpark. Good to see you this morning, Norman. Enjoy the pics. emoGeezer
