Used aluminum

If your looking for a used aluminum boat and are concerned about structural integrity for longevity which would you be looking at? I am talking 18' range. I have been of the opinion that the high transoms such as the Starcraft Fishmaster or Lund Sport Angler would be better choice for big lake fishing for both launching and trolling a trailing sea. Maybe I am wrong but are there ever issues with waves washing in over the transom on the walleye style boats in a rough trailing sea?

If you are looking at an older aluminum boat check to see if the seams are welded or riveted. Make sure no holes or leaks in said seams.
