Bass finally active in Arkansas w/pics
#1
Well I've been hitting the water a lot since the middle of march and it had been hard fishin' here in Arkansas for largemouth bass but apparently the wait is over.

Yesterday I had my best spring catch. I posted these in the "2010 bass fishing rival" thread. I know I will catch larger bass this year, em "HOPE" I will catch larger...

lol.

For any hard core catch and release I know you see the grass on them. Yes in this economy I occasionally bring a couple home for the table. I NEVER keep females during spawn.I released over 15 yesterday that where almost as big.

The kids love to eat fish and we catch some crappie and cats sometimes but I Bass fish mostly and very rarely keep any but right now the freezer is empty and the kids have been wanting some fish for dinner.

Here is the pic.

Awesome catch! What did you get them on I've been going a lot lately and still haven't been able to catch one yet, I did catch a small pickeral on a lipless crank bait on Saturday but forgot my camera.

Good catch, I am still waiting here in california, for the females to lay there eggs. They wont HIT ANYTHING! I have tossed everything in front of there nose, and only one, hit a night crawler. The bass are spawing here, so I will be getting some nice ones soon. Am looking to catch one to eat, but mostly will just do a CPR. Catch, photograph, realase
