Headed to the lake after school today. I guess I could consider this a celebratory fishing day. Found out I went through Middle school with all straight A's!! Put in around 5:45 and motored to a little pocket in the back of Grasshopper. It was really beautiful out there today. Managed a two slicks one on a black blue flippin' jig. Another on a chrome, blue, and orange belly xr50. It kind of died in that pocket so we motored over to a little flat with a stump and a stake bed and managed a couple little squeakers on worms. After that we motored up and headed to the great Sale Creek. Went to the back and caught some off the bluff wall in the back. Headed into the pocket on the right side of the back and caught a few fish off of worms. Our biggest today was probably about two pounds. All fish were fat and caught between 3-10 feet of water........My kind of fishing is starting to heat up and I am getting excited!!!!
Can't wait. Water temperature was in the low seventies all day. Got off the water at 7:45. Overall great day!
