Hooked up with Mike once again to show a couple guys from Hotlanta some REAL fish. They have pan and bass fished mostly and so I was confident we could increase their fish stories.
We put in at Ditto Landing and ran down stream to several places, drifting a few, and also anchoring. Picked up a small 8ish lber on the first drift, nothing on the second, then we set anchor for the first time and put 2 10's and th BF for the day of 30.5lbs.
The rest of the day we moved from spot to spot, never spending more than 30 mins and usually picking up a fish right away, and ending with 8 fish, including another that went 28lbs. We just couldnt get that big one to bite today.
It was a gorgeous day to be on the water, if the ride back after dark wasnt SO DANG COLD! LOL T-shirt weather turns to jacket weather this time of year when the sun goes down.
Water temps ranged from 60-63* and water flow was around 11k I think, with a bump later in the day to maybe 20K. We used fresh skipjack for bait.
