Hal, Chick, Crappie & Bass, 4-28-10, Drum King

We just had to go fishing today with the cold front going through last night and we knew the crappie would be hungry, Not, Sad Since Dk's boat is in the hospital I knew he would get the shakes if he couldn't get out on the lake so we put in about 9 AM and went crappie hunting. It was a very nice day, pleasant temps and little wind with about 60% cloudy, just my kinda crappie day, Wink We started out on docks but only found one here and one over there on the next dock, no numbers so we decided to give some deep structure a try and that's were they were hiding, emoThumbsup They were deep, about 15-20 FOW and almost right on the bottom and only would take it if you were moving it very slowly, emoTongue We ended the day around 3 PM with 30 crappie and a couple small bass. Out of the 30 we had one each TARPs and only about half dozen throw backs. Several were 12 and 13+ really healthy fish. It was a really good day with water temps around 67* in most places. It was a great day to be fishing, emoTongue emoBigSmile
