<br />Well here it goes; this will be my first fishing report. (Not much to tell) My fishing partner and I decided that being that the TX was a three fish limit that we would only fish for big fish. A make it or break it idea. (We were not worried about points) We started out fishing large jigs with big trailers in a rocky area in 20 to 30 feet deep. (Where on Friday prefishing we caught a 5 and a 3 pounder) Nothing, emoBang the problem was we stayed there to long because of what we caught the day before. Finely we decided to move to an area just off the river channel, nothing. emoBang We move again (just of the channel 20 foot) and we start catching a couple of shorts and I bust off a keeper. emoBang We move again to a shallow road bed (5 foot) and caught a couple small ones on a 12” worm. (How can an 11” bass eat a 12” worm?emoScratch) Finally we catch a 3 pounder on a 12” worm.emoAngel We end up moving again back to our first hole emoEnforce where we caught them good on Friday. We fish there way to long and end up with a couple more small ones (caught on large jigs and large trailer, fish must be crazy to eat this thingemoScratch) Move again to a roadbed about 12 feet deep nothing, move to another roadbed that drops into the channel and we pick up a small one or two and one more keeper (about 2 pounds or so) This is where it gets a little hairy, move to JDK’s bridge (again 20 feet deep which fits our fishing style for the day)(I fish here all the time emoGeezer, did not pay the troll, did not say hi to JDK, and I got to close to JDK and company and pissed them offemoSorry, I must be on a roll first CFF TX I have fished “not a good way to start boys & girls”) JDK and company pulls around to other side of bridge and I pulled in between the two bridge forcing my partner to swim his jig and then he gets a bit and catches the fish. We pull back out I start swimming my jig and hang into a 5 pounder emoHoppingmad only to get it to the boat and LOSE IT! emoDoh I tell my partner that I dropped the ball and I lose the TX for us.(thinking 10 pounds might get us 1st or 2nd) Not to be outdone my partner still swimming his jig hangs into a largemouth in the 7 to 8 pound class less than two minutes after I lost mine emoDance(I was still poutingemoBawl). Somehow someway the fish gets off right at the boat too!!! emoVomit We moved on and caught a couple more short fish. Decided there was no point in weighing our two fish for 5.5 pounds. We went home with our heads hanging low. emoBigSmile
