i'm gonna have to try 33 hole i didn't know it was right along the way to boulder harbor. my wife knows where it is, but i'm still not 100% sure where it is. i thought u couldn't fish from those overlooks. is the hike down rough?

[cool]The hike is not rough. I often take my floattube and gear down there. It gets a little tough with a big stringer to haul up though. But a cold beer cures that.

Its not really a matter of which spots are good as much as it is a matter of how far you are willing to hike and or drive your vehicle. Boulder and Hemmingway Harbors are good if you don't want to hike or drive to far on a dirt road. Gov't wash, Crawdad Cove, and Boxcar cove have dirt roads you can drive on and get close to the water without much of a hike. Hole 33 area and Sunset overlook on Lakeshore Drive require some hiking. There are 3 parking lots in the Hole 33 turn off from Lakeshore drive the middle one offers the easiest hike not too steep and the ground harder and easier to walk on. If you like to hike you can grab a backpack and pretty much catch fish anywhere. If you need to get some exercise or lose a few pounds just grab a backpack go shore fishing out at Lake Mead good excuse to go fishing too. Family Fitness dosn't have anything on shore fishing at Lake Mead. [signature] |
