"BECOMING AN OUTDOORS-WOMAN" (BOW) DEEP SEA FISHING ADVENTURE
#1
Time to register for an exciting day of deep sea fishing off New Hampshire's coast with the N.H. Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program on Sunday, June 13, 2010. The event costs $70, which includes instruction, bait and rod rental. Bring your own lunch. A print-and-mail registration packet is now available at http://www.nhbow.com. We will begin accepting applications on Monday, May 10. Registration is first-come, first-served, so sign up soon if you want to go. You must be age 18 or older to participate.

On this daylong sea-faring expedition, you'll join Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) and Let's Go Fishing Program instructors for a chartered day of fishing aboard the Yellowbird (http://www.yellowbirdfishing.com) out of Hampton Beach, N.H. This rugged vessel will take the group about 25 miles offshore to drop lines for groundfish such as cod, haddock and pollock. No experience necessary. On the trip to and from the fishing grounds, you'll learn about saltwater fishing equipment, techniques and fish identification, as well as how to fillet and cook fish.

N.H. Becoming an Outdoors-Woman programs are co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (http://www.WildNH.com) and the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation (http://www.nhwf.org).

Funded through the federal Sport Fish Restoration Program, Fish and Game's Let's Go Fishing Program (http://www.fishnh.com/Fishing/lets_go_fishing.htm) teaches the skills and ethics of fishing and introduces thousands of people each year to an outdoor activity that fosters good stewardship of New Hampshire's aquatic resources.
