Hit the Chick at daylight and so John bets whoever catches the first fish has to buy lunch - then he got a hit and couldn&#39;t resist catching it so he bought me lunch!!! Only seconds later I caught one and we went from there - a total of 33 bass, with the largest at about 3 pounds - top 5 probably weighed 13 to 15 pounds. A good day numbers wise, a fair day for weight, and a lot of fun. Still shallow water on plastic, lizards. Bass are still in 2-5 feet of water. We ran out of lizards and were piecing together used ones to make them last as long as possible. There was definitely a best color (think green) although they will hit different shades. The bait didn&#39;t necessarily have to be lizards, but I still beleive they bit them the best.<br /><br />Another trip scheduled for tomorrow - ain&#39;t retirement grand???!!!! Fishing during the week is wonderful - today we didn&#39;t see another boat.
