Hal and I got out this AM for a crappie trip. I fished with him until 1:00 pm. We landed 42 crappie by the time that I left. We both caught a tarp crappie today. He had a 14 incher, and I had one that was 14.75 inches long and just missed another by 1/8 of an inch. I have given away all my crappie, so I kept a limit today. But we released the biggest fish that we caught and I had 15 crappie between 11 and 13 inches long. We had about 10 undersized fish today. The overall quality was great.

It was a beautiful day, very little wind, sunshine, and temps weren't too hot. Water temp was approaching 72 degrees when I quit for the day. I am going to pick up my boat in just a few minutes. Hooray.

Fish were caught mostly on an 8 count for most of the day, but I did catch a few much deeper. 1/32 oz jigheads with bg shads and split tails catching the most fish. The fish preferred a blue color today with a tail light. I had fun today, Hal. Thanks for taking me fishing. See you on the water soon. emoBig
