Late Brownlee post (5/8/10)
#1
Last weekend was some pretty fun fishing around Woodhead Campground. We targeted bass and started fishing at the Dam. We caught 20 plus quickly in the 12-14 inch range. Nothing to big. We then tried different locations and had the same results. Lots of bass and crappie, pretty much every where. If you found one you where going to find many more. If no action just move on. I drop shotted and did well, but the wife started catching bass and crappie on a small jig casting very close to the bank. You can see the jig in one of the pic's. So I swapped to that and did very well also.
Here's a couple pic's of the wife (Poze) and some of the many fish we caught.

Good report. I will have to ask some advice when it gets closer to July. I plan on spending a day on Brownlee this year during our family "oxbow" vacation. I wish I could get over there earlier in the year, but it just doesn't work in the plans.

Windriver

P.S. I too want to see the pics.

Pictures are working now. I've seen a few catfish caught at Brownlee, but the most I seen were the people achored at Oxbow in the channel below the dam, they were nailing them. Windriver, I'll be up there 2 more times in June for a week a piece, then again in mid July. I'll keep you up to date.

Hey EZOP,
Did you know that Poze is featured on the front page of the Home Page of Big Fish. Her crappie pic has the only perfect 5.0 rating. Just click on home in the upper left corner. Hey Poze, is this your 15 minutes of fame!? Mike

Poze has had more then her 15 minutes of fame, she just keeps finding more time. She has been in National Geographic, multiple fishing magazines, local newspapers,(even on KTVB once for a makeover show) and several fishing websites where she is more active. Don't get me started, she is a ham for the camera. I swear, Oprah's people have even called 3 or 4 times, no joke.

Wow! I take back the "15 minutes" comment. That sounds more like 15 years worth!! Well, good things happen to good people. Congrats Poze, and let me know when you sign with Oprah! Mike
