Fished with someone this morning that I've not fished with in 20 years. My wife, Teresa. Had to refresh her memory on how to use a spinning reel but she had it down pat quickly. Showed her the magic that is the shakeyhead. Caught her first fish 10 minutes later. She was thrilled. I took pictures but she said she'd rather not have them posted because the fish was small. She didn't catch a keeper today but she caught 5-6 smaller ones. I caught my first keeper on a Sammy, second on a spinnerbait, the next 3 on a Zoom Magnum Lizard. My final 3 or 4 keepers were caught on a 10" junebug Berkley Power Worm. My best five were nothing to write home about. Around 14 lbs. We're gonna be dropping the kids off at my parent's house this afternoon then we're headed to Gatlinburg for the weekend. Virtually no wind today. Water temps between 75 and 77 degrees. Fish were caught in 2-5 feet in a slough and 12-15 feet on a main lake point.
