i was hoping today would be a weather repeat of yesterday with the storms coming late in the afternoon . it wasnt and the storms cut our time short emoBang but not before having a pretty decent morning on the water emoSmile .

catching was slow but steady with an even number of shorts to keepers . we put around 30 in the boat between 7am and 11am with 17 being solid keepers and more than a couple of nice keepers were lost close to the boat by both of us emoBang .
color didnt seem to matter much as we did just as well with BG shad in electric chicken , bayou bugger ,blue thunder and hologram ghost .
the bite, as subtle as it was, seemed to key on docks with at least 15 fow and a 8-10 count on a 1/32oz jig. the shorts and keepers were easy to tell apart before you even saw the fish as the shorts were hitting pretty hard but the keepers barely did anything to disturb the line.
even though glockjr did get another HOF crappie emoParty i did out catch him this time 2-1 ( last time it was the other way around emoTongue )
the cloud cover , mild temps and only a light breeze made for a great morning to be on the lake .
the fact that we actually caught some nice fish made it that much better emoBig
