Has anyone ever heard of one of these kinds of rods? Can't imagine they work very well:

Specialty rod designed specifically for the Dropshot technique. Rod will have a softer tip, stiffer butt section. They are also great live bait rods due to the softer tip.

ummm..... $300? Go by six $50 ones. Then if one breaks you have another. Then you dont have to worry about breaking a 300 dollar pole....

Its a Loomis GLX dude, top of the line. You pay for quality. For $50 Loomis will have a new replacement rod at your door step within 48 business hours of breakage. Lifetime warranty, no questions asked. This is before you return the damaged rod. How many $50 rod makers or or even $100 rod makers offer this type of express service.
It amazes me how guys will cry about spending money on a quaility rod, but don't think twice about dropping $300-$600 on a softball bat or even worse, a golf club.

For the record, I posted this as a joke. The description in the ad had a very unfortunate--yet kind of funny typo. Guess I will go back to not posting anymore.

I saw that also, I really did laugh out loud. Nothing to do with Loomis rods, I own some myself. They are great rods, I just don't need a dropsh*t rod, lmao! Besides, retail was $235 when I bought mine and I didn't like it compared to Powell dropshot rods.

kochanut,
This isn't my ad, I just found it while scanning through the classifieds. I posted the link here trying to be funny, unfortunately, only a few people understood that.

Do you feel like your still talking to that County Sheriff Deputy from last week at the youth fishing club?
Don't stop posting or I'll never hear how your fishing trip with your wife went until next years class. That would be a shame.

oh man, that's some funny stuff. I don't know that I'd use that particular rod, probably makes your hands stinky. Everywhere you go people are like "What's that smell?"
"Oh, it's just my rod, its a one of a kind custom setup I bought off KSL"
