Freeze Wins On High Rock Lake

WHAT: Maurice Freeze of Concord, N.C., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday, May 15, 2010 to win $6,679 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake. Freeze was flipping a sweet beaver on a jig around docks to bag his limit.

WHAT: Brad Wright of Granite Falls, N.C. caught a 5-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday, May 15, 2010 to win $3,679 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Co-angler Division on High Rock Lake. He too was using a jig around docks to catch his limit.

NOTES: The next BFL North Carolina Division tournament is scheduled for June 19, at High Rock Lake in Salisbury, N.C. After the fifth North Carolina Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va.,on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
