Had a great time fishing the tourney yesterday! Waited for everyone to blast off and hope no one hit our spot....to our surprise no one was there when we arrived. Started off kinda slow, started fishing some shallow weed beds with no luck. Started catching a few but none of size. Hooked up with one that would keep but my dumb side sway put the fish in the weeds and I lost him. Took about an hour to put are limit in the boat early and then we started pig hunting. Moved several times, seemed like we made a pattern of fish again on the mouths of the sloughs in shallows, but then the activity on the lake picked up and we had to move. Decided to go back to our honey hole close to way in and culled up for our 3rd time. We ended up wih 7.76# good for 11th. We ended up boating around 27 for the day...lost count after a while. It seemed the closer we got to Soddy the more spots we picked up. All fish that were weighed were largemouth caught in 3-7 ft of water on Roboworms and V&M worms. Sorry no pics but today we wanted to speed through. Cant wait for the next tourney which will be my third and Clutch's 2nd, we had a blast today and look forward to the next tourney!
