Fished the Relay for life tournament yesterday that the Catch helped put on. There weren't as many boats as they hoped for, but the Shrinners and the BFL out of Dayton hurt. We started off a little late with the fog so heavy. Started in the mouth of Grasshopper and only boat 4 fish with one keeper around 2lb. Moved to one of the few open spots we could find that didn't have 4 or 5 boats on it this one only had 2 (haha). We boated another small keeper until Dale hung what he thought was a catfish until it came 3ft. out of the water. It wound up being 7.1lb our biggest fish of the day and the big fish of the tournament. We struggled for a while after that to cull any fish. I finally managed to add 3.80lb in the last hour and a half. I threw our two smallest fish back at the ramp and our 3 biggest weighed 13.04lb and with the two we culled we would have had 17.49lb. That sounded like it would have made us some money if we'd fished the Shrinners, but we had already commited to fish the Relay and it's for a good cause. We caught fish on everything that we could think of from DD22's to shakey heads and plastics.
