EricM, I GOT A LI'L PECKER!!!!, Chick, 6-8-10

<br /> Well, maybe not a news flash to some, but still........... Anyway, here is the story and pic:<br /> I hit the ramp at Skull Island on the Chick at the crack of 10:30 this morning to find that ALL of the parking spaces were full and that some creative parking was required. I managed to make one more place on the side of the entrance drive and didn't get towed, bashed, or a nasty note from anyone!<br /> When did everyone stop working on Tuesdays, too?<br /> Lots of fishermen in and around the secret spot again today, but once again there was not a lot of catching going on that I saw, catfish or bass. There was a fair amount of surface activity, but the folks trying for the white bass bite couldn't seem to interest them either. Shad are showing on the sonar some and are occasionally jumping out of the water when chased.<br /> I did drift around for a bit over two hours and caught 12 or 15 blue catfish with the best of them being right at 10 pounds, There were lots of little "peckers" out there, but I had a really tough time hooking 'em up on my 8/0 circle hooks - but by golly I did manage to finally get this one:
