Jmax, Chick,, Bass, CBA prefishing, two and a half hours, 16 lbs., 06/10/10, Colby
#1
Saw my work day was going to wind down early so I called Colby to see if he would like to slip out and go. Got there at three o'clock and fished until 6 with about thirty minutes taking shelter at a covered dock. Storms were moving in and looked bad but we hit the water anyways. What a difference the current makes on the river. Hit only deep water today from 18 foot to 40 foot and boated some really nice ones. Best one was only 4 lbs and 3 ozes but had some really good looking threes. Caught one bass a little over three that was about 1/3'rd black. He had large black batches all over him. I took a picture and will have to post it later. It was a very good looking strange LM. Most of the bass we caught today were keepers. The best five would have gone about 16 lbs, maybe a little more. Not bad for 2.5 hours of fishing. I hope we can get on the same bite this weekend for the CBA. We hit Five places and had bass in four of them. Baits did not seem to matter but we used drop shots, cranks, pig and jigs and worms t-rigged. Never noticed the water temp...sorry. A good time until the big storm came in and chased us off the water. emoRain I also feel that with the current going good and the high pressure on due to the storms it helped us a lot.

Looking forward to seeing all the CBAers this weekend. emoAngler Jmax
