I fished the BFL Choo Choo on Guntersville on 06/05/2010. I managed to pull out a first place finish with 25 lbs 11 oz. For most of the day, I was catching good numbers but not much size. I lost a good fish around ten o'clock between 5 and 6 pounds that stuck in my head until the last hour and a half of the tournament. About one o'clock, I pulled up on a spot and caught two around four and a half and two around five and a half pounds. My stringer jumped from thirteen pounds to twenty three and a half pounds in about fifteen minutes. I kept working the spot over without boating another fish. With thirty minutes left, I stopped at another spot and on my first cast, I caught a fish that would go about five and a half pounds that culled a three pounder. A dream finish to a tournament. I caught my fish from fifteen to twenty five feet deep on a one ounce Soddy Custom Tackle Football Jig in green pumpkin with a 6 inch Big Bite Brush Pig Creature as a trailer, also in green pumpkin, and a ten inch Big Bite Kriet Tail Worm in watermelon red. Good job to all the local guys that represented the area very well.
