I'll have to start this off by saying, Spur, you're the MAN emoWorthy emoWorthy A couple of weeks ago I told Spur that I would go Noodling with him some time soon emoGoofy (my wife said that I was crazy) Whats her point? emoBig
I picked up spur and his crew around 7:15 pm and we ran and got Polo and headed out for some late afternoon Noodling emoDance Now after they checked several places, Catfanger call out to her dad and said that she had found a big hole and she was sure that there was a fish in it. emoFish Spur went over and blocked the hole so the fish wouldn't get out. I called out and said that I wanted a chance with this one. emoCrazy I jumped out of my boat and went over to spur and he gave me directions on what to do. He also said, Terry, this is a very big fish in that hole. I kissed him on the top of the head and said that I was going to get her out of that hole. emoUp After about four or five trips down and not able to reach far enough back into the hole to feel the fish, I asked spur, what now? (You could feel it in the hole moving around.) Spur said that he would go down with the cane pole and for me to follow him. emoCrazy When he got the fish to bite down on the pole, I slid my hand down the pole and into the fishes mouth. Now the fight was on, I didn't know who had whom. All I know is that I felt like Tarzan fighting a aligator. emoDoh When I came to the top of the water with both hands in this monsters mouth, spur grabbed it around its body and I yelled out that we had him. emoApplause Spur told me to get a good grip on him and carry it to the bank. I was about half way there when it twisted and jumped out of my arms. I grabbed it out of mid air with both arms and pulled it to my chest and got it to the bank. emoThumbsup This fish would go around 48 pounds or so. This was my first time Noodling and I had a ball doing it. emoThanks This was a great trip with some good friends and with two fish weighing over 40 lbs, I have to say one more time.
