Shark, Richland Branch, Bass, 12 June 2010, Solo
#1
Well today was another one of those days - The MiSadventures of Shark!!!

I took some advice and went up to Dayton to avoid those emoBadLanguage ski boats and jet skis. emoEnforce

I planned on launching from the Bluewater Marina/Campground. I arrived around 7:15 am and found the place was closed for renovations and had to back track to the city boat ramps. emoBang
I saw the water and rigged my rods for the current conditions. Talk about coffee and cream water......... $%^ muddy water! I finished and was on my way. I hit up the small docks at the ramp and worked back toward Richland Creek. Turned back around and fished my way with the slight current there was.

I love to pitch and flip and had plenty of targets. Fished some wood and trash near a boat dock and caught my one and only bite around 9:55 in about 2 1/2 fow. It weighed in at 2.75 lbs and was the second time caught, note hole below my thumb.
After about an hour I fired up my whopping 15 hp and took off to fish around Bluewater as I noticed clearer water there when I drove by it the first time - this motor makes my boat fly. emoParty

From the Marina area I ended up skunking and fished out heading towards the sand bars beside the main channel.
I now know I should've went straight to the sand bars as the water was just a bit murky to clear in most places. The area is loaded with grass and I saw several bass jumping while there.

It was nice to be out again, but my boat still isn't completed. Lures used - threw spinner baits, shaky head, T rigged worms (6 in and magnum), rage tail and of course my secret flipping lure (no longer made by any company). emoEvil
