Decided to hit the Riverpark after a bad night at work. Got there about 0700, several people fishing from the bank already. Man the fish were going crazy, its an amazing sight to see that many fish busting schools of minnows like that. Turns out I picked the perfect day to bring my flukes, didnt take long before I hooked up. There were several people throwing topwater(poppers, spooks, torpedos)and I was very surprised to see no one get a blow up. They seemed too interested in the baitfish. When I hooked up on the second largemouth, once he was at the bank he did a nice little dance and spit out about 5 small minnows, man these fish were gorging. Ended up catching 11, 2 of them were over 3lbs but nothing to write home about. It was a nice day to get my mind off a bad night at work. All fish but one were caught an a zoom supersalt smoke fluke, the other lonely one on a roboworm margarita. Im not gonna get much sleep before work tonight, but im pretty sure when I get off tomorrow im heading back down there! What a blast. Sorry no pics, it was pretty fast paced and wanted to get the fish back in the water to hunt for some more!!!! Hope I can get a limit on saturday as fast as I did today.
