Mr. Malooney was gracious enough to fill in for my normal partner, JDK today, and boy did he give me a lesson on the C rig! Wore my butt out! I kept on doing like, fishing with my Dad, and let him throw the C rig and I would throw the jig or big worm. Well after he had me down about 8-0 I begin to pay attention! We fished deep. Fish were in 18- 35 fow. We fished the ledges and drops. Fish were bust'in the water every where on the ledges around us. They would not hit a crank, swim, or a spinner bait!? We caught fish on the C rig, Tx rig and jigs but the C rig was by far the best. Mr. Malonney was a good guide. It was a good day sharing the boat with him. We caught 40 fish? Culled 5 or 6 times for only ounces and had only 8+ lds! Oh well, it was a good day with a good friend, and I learned!
