Fished the middle near the new angler access points on river road towards midway. The water flow is good, a little faster than a couple weeks ago in my opinion. Fished from about 7am till 10am. Lots of small fish rising early but couldn't find any large fish to strike.
A group of about 10 kids 10-14 years old arrived with three adults. I think it was some kind of camp or adventure program or something. They were all wearing life jackets and most had fly rods, a couple spinner rigs. They dispersed all over the river and that put an end to my fishing day. I thought I was gonna hook a 90 pounder...a kid that is! Anyway, I think the life jackets did more harm than good. Saw a kid fall down in about two feet of water in the rifflle and instead of just standing up, the current grabbed his floating torso and dragged him into the shallower water. He was soaked. I got a good chuckle cause he was alright.
