Hal, Chick, Mixed - Crappie, 'gills & Bass & cat, 6-28-10, Alone

Got off to an early start at daylight this morning, putting in Soddy Creek hoping to find some crappie, :o Wife wanted some crappie to try out a new recipe and I said I would like to have some that were fresh from the water emoSmile I fished docks and deep structure 'till about 10 AM and ended up with some really nice crappie, 2 that were 13 and a half, (no TARPs today, ) and had several over 12 inches. Total was 1 bass, 1 channel cat, 1 gill, and 32 crappie. I kept 12 for the cook and brought those home, did a quick cleaning job on them and headed straight for the skillet, emoHungry emoSmile Man those were good along with white beans, cole slaw, and some of Martie's famous hushpuppies, emoTongue and a big ole glass of sweet tea. I'm so full now I can hardly stand up, as a matter of fact I think I'll go stretch out on the couch, emoBig Fish are deep with all this hot water, (water temps 83*-86*) and the crappie wanted it deep and slow with a 32nd BG bleeding shad today. Most fish were in at least 20 FOW and near the bottom. <br />Sorry no pic's, I'm not as good as Labman with the camera and didn't have anyone to take the pic's for me, emoSmile So I guess it's still just a fish story but man, what a great tastin' fish story, emoBig emoFish
