shsimons, Riverpark, Bluegill/blue cat, 7-7-10, Scott and the blistering sun
#1
Well, we didn't go this morning, and for whatever reason I only slept around 4 hrs. by about 3:00 we were pretty bored and hit the water with about 2 gallons of water, and I don't think that was enough. We caught a ton of bluegill, you could have had a feast on all the big ones. Scott and I have found a bunch of bullgills right now, and they are good action.

I made a number of anchors, and the big bite today came in the boat. Scott landed a 37 lb blue, his new personal best. I was fairly proud. We had a few other bites, but it was tough with the heat. Scott looked at me around 9:00, said, you look terrible, let's go in. I was glad he said that. I figured we'd fish till the time he wanted and then leave. I think we'll be back at it tomorrow evening. I'm thinking about taking him somewhere else but the bluegill are so plentiful at the dam, even though most of the bites are coming on the skipjack.

If you go, bring more water than you think you need, it is unreal how fast you get dehydrated right now!

Sam
