Back to Harrison Bay this morning to try some topwater action over the "very" thick grass. I caught all of my fish this morning on a chartreuse buzzbait and my first fish was a smallmouth around 8:30 am...again ! I'm not sure what's going on in the sloughs and points in Harrison Bay right now - but I like it ! I was using a buzzbait a little smaller than what I normally do and I was having a blast with my new rod ( thanks Al ) and reel. I was like a kid with a new toy. My biggest bass turned into a little bit of an adventure as when I reached for the net I got another rod with a crankbait on it wrapped up in it. Trying not to panic I could see the crankbait was caught in it pretty good so I just put the net down in the water with the rod in it and somehow scooped up the bass and got it in. I'm just glad nobody was watching - ha ! I'm sure it looked pretty crazy. It took me forever to get the crankbait out of the net. I caught that bass in the same place where I caught one over 5 pounds close to two months ago. Most everyone I'm seeing is fishing the flats and somewhat deeper water in the bay now and I'm sure they are catching fish but it's hard for me to get away from places where I caught good fish and still continue to find them around there. I'm just fishing a little different there now and I don't want to stop because of the "smallie" action. I'm just now experimenting with my 10 second delay on my camera so I haven't quite found a good place yet to set up for some pics but I'm working on it so bear with these pics please.

J.
