teton river report
#1
I did a quick float on the S. fork of the Teton river this morning. Floated from the bridge on N2400 E to the hwy 33 bridge. It took about 2 hours to float. The water was just a touch murkier than I would have liked but the fish were biting like crazy. They were biting kind of light because I only landed about one fish in 5 that I had on and its would be barely hooked in the tip of the jaw. Caught 10, biggest was a 19" Rainbow. Most of the fish were 14 to 16 inch hybrids. My buddy caught 12 and landed a fat 20" rainbow. I was using rapalas.

Anybody ever see a trout with a mouse in its belly? The 20" rainbow had a mouse about 2" long partially digested in its belly. I didn't think trout ate mice.

Thanks for the report. I have caught fish with mice in their bellies before. I think it is more common than we think.

I know a guy who has caught some big trout using white mice from the pet store and fishing at night.

If ya want to see something really funny use mouse patterns at sunset those brown trout will look just like a big bass hitting a top water bait [cool]
