Muskrat, Chickamauga / Harrison Bay, bass, yellow bass, etc., 7-13-10, Debbie
#1
More good fishing news to report from Harrison Bay. Deb and I caught some "very" nice bass this morning up until about 2:00 today. We had the bay to ourselves just about as not many people were out at all. I did spot a little dog ( Frieda ) walking around on a boat and quickly figured that was probably polo-dog. I told Debbie I bet that was Mark and drove up a little closer and we chatted briefly. I had just caught a couple of bass using buzzbaits at the time and we went back over to my favorite fishin' point about five minutes later and "bam" Deb hooked a very nice bass on a red /white spinnerbait with a curly tail attached. We stayed there awhile and I went back up into a slough and caught another very good bass on a buzzbait again. After that we started using crankbaits in deeper water in the middle of the bay and ran into "more" good size bass in about 25-30 feet of water. Deb beat me size wise...again, but I think I caught a couple more total. I guess we caught a dozen yellow bass, a drum, and a bream. I lost a pretty good bass at the boat too. Here's some pics of five of the fish and I've got two different pictures taken of a couple of Debbie's larger bass. I'm sorry I don't have weights on these.
