My wife talked me into taking her fishing again this afternoon. I thought we would try something a little different this afternoon. I set her up a Gulp Minnow under a bobber and let her fish with that. It worked so well, I hate to admit it, I started using the same rig. We caught fish on every treetop we stopped at. Nothing huge, but the numbers were good. We probably had 10 keeper bass but nothing with any size.
I caught a catfish that would probably go 10-12 pounds on some little 6 pound Trilene and a little 1.0 finesse hook. That was a fight.

We stayed until it was getting dark. I saw a sight I will not soon forget. MILLIONS and I do MILLIONS of Willow Flies were leaving the trees and were flying out over the lake. There were so many you could here them buzzing. it looked like a scene out of a nature documentary. The fish were going absolutely crazy on top water strikes at dusk hitting the ones that couldn't fly to well.
