I called Ol&#39;Bent Rod a little after 6 yesterday evening and asked him if he would like to go on a boat ride. As I have been adjusting on the jack plate and wanted a test drive with the new adjustments. He agreed to go and we met at the lake about 6:45 and off we went. The boat didn&#39;t run much diffrent, no real improvement or loss of performance so we just decided to fish a little while. Ol&#39;Bent Rod has been on some fish for a couple of weeks while I have been having to work, but those have been in the AM and he didn&#39;t know if they would hit in the evening. Well they will hit in the evening, about the 3rd or 4th cast to the spot produced a good 18&#43;&quot; stovepipe, several more lost fish and 2 more in the boat and the occasional Rockfish foray. We fished for about 2 hours this evening and landed 3-18&#43;&quot; walleye and 6- solid rockfish and hybrids. It was a fun evening. The stripers were in the jumps and the walleye were DEEP.
