Guys,
I have a few Ambas
eur 6500's. They are models CL3, C3, and KC3. After years of catching stripers in the atlantic, all 3 reels have developed a problem. Sometimes, when setting the hook, the crank, spool and all will give and start spinning backwards. This results in a missed fish. And the crank beats my knuckles up pretty bad, especially when I'm fishing in sub freezing temps. Seems to me, the anti reverse bearings could be worn out, or the sleeve that goes inside the anti reverse housing could be worn. Has anyone had this type of problem before? And what could be replaced to fix it? thanks
